Text blocks
Text blocks are reusable intro and closing texts for quotes. Once created, the merchant inserts them with one click while negotiating — with placeholders that are resolved automatically per quote.
Two types: intro and closing text
| Type | Section | Where in the quote |
|---|---|---|
Intro text (intro) | Introduction | Above the positions (e.g. "Dear Sir or Madam of {company}, thank you for your request …"). |
Closing text (closing) | Closing | Below the totals (e.g. delivery notes, payment terms, sign-off). |
Placeholders
In text blocks (and in the quote texts themselves) the following placeholders are resolved automatically per quote — in storefront, PDF and email alike:
| Placeholder | Replaced by |
|---|---|
{customerName} | Customer's first and last name |
{company} | Customer's company name (falling back to the name) |
{quoteNumber} | Quote number |
{validUntil} | Valid-until date (locale-formatted) |
{grandTotal} | Grand total incl. shipping (locale-formatted) |
Management
Management lives in the Administration under Settings → Extensions → "B2B+ Text blocks".
How the merchant creates a block:
- Click "Create text block".
- Enter name, section (intro/closing) and content; insert placeholders with a click.
- Optionally set "Default for this section".
- Save.
The list allows filtering by section, editing and deleting.
Default per section
Per section (intro or closing) there is exactly one default. The block marked as default is pre-filled automatically as the intro/closing text on new quotes. Setting another block of the same section as default automatically resets the previous default.
Using in a quote
On a quote's detail page:
- "Insert text block" appends a block's content to the respective text field.
- "Save as block" stores the current intro/closing text as a new reusable block.
- Placeholders can be inserted at the cursor position with a click.
TIP
The placeholders are only resolved on display (storefront/PDF/email) — in the text block and the text field they remain as {…}.
